Home Car Charge Point Installation
The UK has committed to phasing out the sales of new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030. Plans are also in place for all new cars and vans to be fully zero emission at the tailpipe from 2035. The government currently offers grants to support the wider use of electric and hybrid vehicles via the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV).
The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) is a grant that provides a 75% contribution to the cost of one charge point and its installation.
A grant cap is set at £350 (including VAT) per installation. You can claim up to 2 charge point grants per household if you have a second EV.
MD Bespoke Solutions is an OLEV (OZEV) registered installer so you can contact us to make use of this government initiative. The current OLEV (OZEV) EVHS grant ends March 31st 2022 and can’t be claimed for installs completed after that date.
To qualify for OLEV’s EVHS grant, you need to have purchased an eligible electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle or leased one for at least six months.
- You must have off-street parking.
- You must install an OLEV-approved charge point.
- You must use an OLEV-approved charge point installer like MD Bespoke Solutions.
Not all plug-in vehicles are eligible for the OLEV EVHS grant. All full battery electric vehicles are eligible, but plug-in hybrid vehicle CO2 emissions must be calculated below 50g/km.
As well as being an authorized OZEV EVHS Installer, we are also NICEIC registered Approved Contractors. In addition we are registered on Checkatrade and BAFE.
We are also a member of TrustMark, which is the Government Initiative to help customers in finding a reliable tradesperson.

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is available to businesses, charities and public sector organisations that meet the applicant and site eligibility criteria. There is a maximum of 40 sockets across all sites per applicant – for instance, if you would like to install them in 40 sites, you will have 1 socket available per site.
It is a straightforward process, these are the steps you’ll need to take –
- Complete the online application at – Application for WCS grant voucher
- If eligible you will have a voucher generated with unique code
- We provide a quote for installation with a discount based on your voucher
(valid for 6 months can apply for subsequent vouchers for additional charge points and sites, as long as your cumulative total does not exceed 40 sockets)
