We were recommended by a builder to carry out a test on a consumer unit prior to major works being carried out on a property in Chiswick. Initially the existing consumer unit appeared fine but after carrying out a full test there were some issues that required a replacement.
We installed a brand new 17 edition consumer unit which we knew would be sufficient to provide the correct electrical requirements plus any new additions the homeowner would add in the future (they had discussed making their home a smart home within the next 12 months)
After the consumer unit was installed, we carried out a full and thorough safety check on the property and all the existing wiring and were pleased to be able to issue a safety certificate at the end.
The homeowner was extremely pleased that we only had to change the consumer unit as they were concerned that a full rewiring job may be required which they had not budgeted for.
